1. The life we live on earth is a warfare (Job 7:1). Without fighting, you will live a defeated life.
2. We are instructed to fight. 1 Tim 6:12 says, "Fight the good fight of faith ..." Not fighting is disobeying a divine command.
3. God teaches us to fight. Psa 18:34 says, "The Lord my God teaches my hands to make war, and my arms to bend a bronze bow." The fact that God teaches us to fight shows that He expects us to fight.
4. Our Lord, Jesus Christ is both a lion and a lamb. As a lion, He leads the armies of heaven and fights in righteousness (read Rev 19:11-15; 17:12-14). Being a Christian means being Christlike.

Thus, fighting is Christlike.
5. Ministry is a warfare. Kuita basa raMwari is exacly as fighting. Satan will not let people go without a fight. Paul described his life and ministry as a fight 1 Cor 9:26 _"I run, not as if I were uncertain. And so I fight, not as [one who] beats the air."
6. We are given weapons of warfare (1 Cor 10:3-5). We can't be given weapons if there was no need to use them.
7. We are instructed to be strong and to arm ourselves (Eph 6:10-12).
8. There's a war against the dragon (satan) and we are part of it. Rev12:17 says, _"And the dragon was enraged over the woman, and went to make war with the rest of her seed, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ."
