2. INSTEAD OF FOLLOWING GREENER PASTURES WATER YOUR OWN GARDEN. There’s no perfect church with perfect people. Every church has its own problems. In Jesus of Nazareth International Ministry there was a stealing treasurer by the name Judas and the Senior Pastor, Apostle Peter, denied his spiritual father and mentor, Jesus Christ but its few members never changed church. Instead of leaving for a better church, work on improving your current church.
3. LEAVING YOU CHURCH WHEN THERE ARE PROBLEMS IN THE CHURCH IS A SIGN OF WEAKNESS (COWARDICE). We must not run away from problems in the church but we must go and face them.
4. LEAVING YOUR CHURCH IS SELFISHNESS. Moving out may help you but what about those you leave behind? Moving out does not help the church. It adds fuel to already burning fire. Leaving your church negatively affects people who were looking up to you as their model
5. LEAVING YOUR CHURCH WITHOUT GOD’S COMMAND IS SATANIC. It’s partnering with the devil to weaken the church. If the church was struggling and you were part of it then when you move it will struggle even more. The church business is like a tug-of-war. If you let go of the rope in a tug-of war, the rest of your team has to pull harder, and may lose. You add more pressure to the remaining tag team as you drop your responsibilities
6. CHANGING CHURCHES SETS A BAD EXAMPLE FOR OTHERS. It drains the energy of others.
7. CHANGING CHURCHES EXPOSES YOU TO SATAN’S ATTACK. For some time, you will be left without spiritual covering
8. CHANGING CHURCHES AFFECTS YOUR SPIRITUAL LIFE. When you move, you will be uprooted and where there are no roots there will be no fruits. Children are destabilized. Spouse confused
9. CHANGING CHURCHES IS INSPIRED BY THE SPIRIT OF PRIDE. Those who leave without a good reason are under demonic influence which makes them think they are wiser than everyone including their pastors. Those who leave underestimate the value of their pastor and the value of the church
10. CHANGING CHURCHES SLOWS YOUR SPIRITUAL GROWTH AND YOUR GENERAL PROGRESS IN LIFE. After you leave you need about a year to fit in the new church. Things will be done differently. You need time to make new friends. You need to establish a new relationship with you new pastor, etc. The new pastor doesn’t know you. You have to build trust again in the second church.
11. CHANGING CHURCHES REDUCES YOUR MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES. Your testimony has more impact to people who knew you more than to people who barely knows you.
