The Importance Of Planning By Apostle Farayi Muzari

Luke 14:28-30 For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he may have enough to finish it; lest perhaps, after he has laid the foundation and is not able to finish, all those seeing begin to mock him, saying, This man began to build and was not able to finish.

God has released special grace upon the church so that the body of Christ may begin to be movers and shakers in the business world. However, this doesn’t happen without laying out concrete plans to start such business. Many Christians are failing in business not because they lack the anointing to prosper, No! They are failing because of failure to plan. Somebody said, “Failing to plan is planning to fail.”

Nobody should just begin any business venture without having an idea of how to go about it. One must keep in mind that business involves the use of capital and other resources. As a potential business person, you have to make sure your capital go into good use so that you can earn big profits from the money you will put into your business. If you go into business without having an idea of what you intend to do, you might end up losing that hard earned capital.

It is for this reason that you need to have a business plan before starting any business. A business plan helps you have a sense of direction as you go about planning the things you need and the things you would like to do in relation to your business venture. With a business plan, you can avoid wasting precious resources like capital which you need in order to earn profits from what you sell or offer to your customers. What exactly are the things you have to consider when you draw up your business plan?

Jesus likens venturing into business as going to war and He says, “What king, going to make war against another king, does not first sit down and consult whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand?” (Luke 14:31)
