Today it’s the 16th of February. How time flies! A lot has happened since the begging of the year. We had moments where we laughed and moments where we cried. That’s life, it’s filled with ups and downs. However, behind the scenes there are invisible hands. The hands of the Almighty. These hands controls everything.
Fear Not, God Is in Control |
Each day we make plans, we fill in our appointments and we
line up our schedules. We think we know what’s ahead—and often our routine holds
to the same pattern. But when it
doesn’t, we may feel disappointed, worried, or afraid of how quickly our lives
can change in the course of a day. Our friends betray us, the test results
scare us, the government introduces a new law that gets us out of business, the
doctor says he can’t do anything to help us, or our boss undermines our
performance. So much can change in a matter of seconds and it did.
In such moments we often feel as if life is treating us
unfairly. We ask ourselves, “Why me?” We feel unloved. We feel abandoned. But
as children of God, we mustn’t uphold these negative feelings. God says we
mustn’t worry. We mustn’t be anxious. We mustn’t be afraid. Why? Because He has
the situation under control.
We must remember that God ultimately controls our calendar
and He is never late. His timing is best.
Things around us might change. People change, our leaders change,
economies change, but God is the same yesterday,
today, and tomorrow. Not only does He remain the only constant
in an ever-changing world, but He also has a plan for
our lives. We may not always be able to see what He’s up to,
but we can rest in the security of knowing our future rests in our Father’s
hands.
Scripture: Isaiah 41:10 “So
do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will
uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
